It’s not oily skin… it’s dewy skin. Because “oil” gives <i>Burger King fryer</i> vibes, while “dew” gives <i>dainty fairy skipping across the lily pads</>” vibes 😌 And just for the record, ELF somewhat recently came out with a “Power Grip Dewy Setting Spray” (which is actually pretty great by the way) because people want to look dewy on purpose because dewy skin = healthy skin. Embrace it!🙆‍♀️

Brittnee it took me years to learn my over oily skin. It is actually over oily bc your skin is way to dry and removing the oil makes it worse. It’s a process and there will be a few weeks that are oily but once you get your skin balanced it will not be nearly as oily. Stop trying to remove excess oil with products. Find a good cleaners like Sensitivity CeraVe (doesn’t have to be high end), use Rose Water toner and a good moisturizer like Tula 24-7 Moisture Hydration and a serum for specialized like fine lines, dark spots. Cleanse, tone, moisturizer and serum morning and night and use a mask once a week. Use oil blotter to remove excess oil and in a couple of weeks you should see a difference in your skin. Please remember oil is created to cease dry skin so your body is trying to keeps itself hydrated I know it sounds crazy. I don’t want to say I have no excess oil but it is not like it was. Also a good primer Elf Pink Primer under foundation it’s not expensive, hides large pores and helps keep oil down and makeup in place with oily skin. To understand that oil is caused by over dry skin is the beginning. I have super sensitive skin and that has changed as well since kind of balancing out my oil, I don’t have breakout and I had full teenage acne at 30,40,45… I hope this helps.
